Holiday Wedding
December 20, 2017 • Posted by Jessica Pontoriero

The holidays are filled with love, laughter, and family. Having a wedding during the holiday season is truly special. Now, let’s get to wedding planning:

Decor

For a holiday wedding, add some inspiration in from the season! But, be careful not to overdo it. Subtle hints of festive colors, flowers, and food will make your holiday wedding magical! For the reception, drape tables in red or white sparkly tablecloths. For centerpieces, you can place mini trees with ornaments, vases full of red poinsettias or roses with baby’s breath flowers. You can even place name cards in-between pine cones for a wintery feel. To add more holiday flare, add garland and string lights around the venue! Fun Décor Idea: Decorate a tree with pictures of the bride and groom!

Drinks

Guests of all ages will love these comforting drinks! If you are a hot chocolate or coffee lover, a great idea would be to set up a hot chocolate or coffee station. Guests can add festive ingredients to their drinks such as marshmallows, peppermint, and even mini gingerbread men!

  1. Hot Chocolate
  2. Mulled Wine
  3. Pear Martini
  4. Chai Tea
  5. Cappuccino
  6. Lavender Pomegranate Spritzer

Entrees

Dinner is served, and we have an array of dishes to choose from! From pasta to chicken, to steak, there is a plate for everyone:

  1. Grilled Steak with Scallion Butter
  2. Cranberry Chicken
  3. Wine Roasted Cranberry Turkey
  4. Creamy Chicken and Pasta
  5. Spinach Ravioli
  6. Salmon with Julienned Vegetables

Dessert

It’s time for dessert! A fun and creative idea would be to set up a “build your own cookie” station. Simply have cut-out cookies in many holiday shapes available for guests. Guests can then ice them with their favorite color and add candy or sprinkles to them. For the wedding cake, the possibilities are endless. Popular favorites are peppermint mocha, cinnamon cake with chocolate mousse, and brown butter spiced cake. Take a bite of these delicious desserts:

  1. Mascarpone and Fig Gelato
  2. Gingerbread Cookies
  3. Cinnamon Swirl Buns
  4. Cranberry Orange Biscotti
  5. Peppermint Chocolate Brownies
  6. Almond Eggnog Cupcakes

Cuisinart hopes you have a great wedding and wishes you much joy on this new chapter in your life! Now, let’s get wedding planning!
